I am a researcher specialized in the history of philosophy, with a particular interest in the conceptual and interpretative horizons of classical Chinese thought. My research engages with enduring questions of language, sageliness, and political rulership, drawing on early and medieval Chinese philosophical traditions to speak to contemporary intellectual concerns. By bridging faithful textual reading with analytical precision, I aim to contribute to rigorous scholarship and the evolving global conversation on language, knowledge, and the human condition.

PHD Candidate in Philosophy

January 2024 - Now

I am currently a PhD candidate in philosophy at the University of New South Wales, Sydney.

• My doctoral project is supervised by Prof. Karyn Lai, a scholar known worldwide for her scholarship in comparative and Chinese philosophy. The project adopts a philosophy-of-language approach to Xuanxue 玄學 thoughts, showcasing their relevance to the contemporary discussion of naming and meaning. My secondary supervisors are Prof. Zheng Yi and Dr. Liu Qin.

MA of Chinese Philosophy

September 2020 - July 2023

I was awarded a Master’s Degree in Chinese Philosophy by the International Confucian Academy at China University of Political Science and Law. My Master's thesis was supervised by Professor Zhang Xuezhi 張學智, a leading scholar in Confucianism at Peking University. I examined the evolution of the concepts of sageliness and sagely virtue in the Confucian classic, Meng Zi 孟子, and the excavated text, Wu Xing 五行. I graduated with distinction, earning a 1st ranked GPA and multiple highly competitive scholarships.

September 2016 - July 2020

I earned a Bachelor's Degree in Philosophy from the Department of Philosophy at China University of Political Science and Law. My undergraduate studies provided comprehensive education and intensive training in core philosophical disciplines—metaphysics, epistemology, religious philosophy, ethics, philosophy of mind, and Chinese philosophy. I ranked among the top graduates who pursued advanced philosophy studies after completing their BA.
